Many strides have been accomplished in the past week that's plenty of cause for celebration!
Let's take a look at what we've managed so far:
ASSETS/BACKGROUNDS
We've been extremely fortunate enough to have the addition of Ben Burggraaff on our team to help with the art side of My Friend Flick. He's been extremely diligent when it comes to assets, as well as digitizing backgrounds!
The primary target for asset making has been for our Feed-A-Flick minigame, where Ben has been able to simplify and pump out many food/drinks. Here are a few examples for your viewing pleasure:
They're simple and cute: Plain and simple! Wyatt has already been underway implementing these assets into the minigame itself.
As for backgrounds, here are the two completed (using sketches from Serena Eaton as a base). They have been grayscaled for the meantime to both demonstrate values + so that they may be altered with colors later on when a color palette has been decided.
MINIGAMES
As always, Wyatt has been hard at work with minigames. Specifically, he's been able to get the Feed-A-Flick underway! The gif provided shows the skeleton version of the gameplay without assets implemented:
A shirt model for displaying shirt designs is underway as well, woo hoo! This also means shirt designs will have to be underway, too... boo hoo.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Lots of progress art-wise. Yay! We'll have a lot more to go, of course. Our priority for now is backgrounds and having Flick be able to run around in the app.
Best case scenario, I'll be able to report both as complete for the next update. Crossing my fingers. Until next time!
